If you have a house full of quality used items, then you too can get the items out of your house and find others who can use the items. The goal of this free service is to help keep items out of the landfills.
Goodwill accepts your new or gently used items — like clothing, appliances, electronics and furniture — and sells them in their retail stores.
Simply drop off your gently used items at your nearest donation center. Some Goodwill locations also accept donations of computer equipment and vehicles.

In partnership with the City of Los Angeles, UCLA has a S.A.F.E. collection center that is a permanent drop-off point for residents of the surrounding community to bring their household hazardous waste. You can bring old paint, oil and other chemicals collecting dust in your garage to UCLA for proper disposal.
