While I typically am not one for having lots of kitchen gadgets, there are definitely some tools that make food prep quicker, less messy and more efficient. To me that equals being more organized, so I will always make room in my kitchen for such gems.
I use a lot of lemons, as they add freshness and flavor to savory and sweet dishes alike. What I don’t like about lemons is how messy they are to work with. There’s the pits, the pulp, the sticky hands and the difficulty in measuring the proper amount of juice needed for recipes. No matter how hard I try, more juice seems to end up on my cutting board than in the measuring cup or spoon.
That was until I found the Sur La Table Citrus Juicer. Can I tell you how this product changed my life? Seriously…this puppy not only captures all the seeds and pulp, it also measures exactly how much juice I need, all at the same time! And, my hands stay clean and unsticky. All that for only $9.95.
So run, don’t walk, or better yet, click your way to snapping up the Sur La Table Citrus Juicer. I promise you won’t be sorry. Here’s a yummy dessert recipe from my friend Lorie Hopcus’ amazing food blog, A Savory Nest. This lemon pound cake is definitely one of my favorites. I will be visiting Lorie in Portland next month and I can’t wait to be her sous chef as she prepares one of her fabulous blog posts.
Thank you Cindy! This gadget looks great. And I can’t wait to make the pound cake!
I know where I am going this weekend and it is Sur La Table! What a great gadget – love the simplicity and price!
